Russia may attack the Kakhovska HPP and blame Ukraine

The russian terrorist federation prepares the domestic consumer with information for the “step of goodwill” from Kherson.

The russian military leadership has to make “difficult decisions” regarding the Kherson region, said the commander of the russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin. He also accused Ukraine of planning an attack on civil and residential infrastructure, in particular on the Kakhovska HPP dam.

This is reported by “Svidami” with reference to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The leadership of the occupiers believes that an attack on the hydroelectric power station could cover their retreat from the right bank of the Dnipro and prevent the advance of the Ukrainian military across the river. So moscow can use this attack to divert attention from the retreat, as well as once again portray Ukraine in Russian propaganda as a “terrorist state.”

We would like to remind you, that russia calls on residents of the Kherson region to “evacuate” to the left bank of the Dnipro. The occupiers also closed the entrance to occupied Kherson for a week. ISW experts claim that the eviction of Ukrainians is illegal, and its purpose is an attempt by the russian Federation to harm Ukraine’s long-term economic recovery. In addition, the russians may try to mobilize the deported residents of the Kherson region.
