Annual drop in Ukrainian exports will reach 30%
According to the estimates of the National Bank, the annual total reduction of exports of goods and services from Ukraine will amount to 30%.
It is predicted that the volume of exports from Ukraine this year will be 30% lower, compared to last year’s results. Yuriy Geletiy, deputy head of the NBU, said this at the briefing, Ukrinform reports.
In general, the export of goods and services is expected to be $57.4 billion this year — 30% less than in 2021. It is predicted that next year, exports will increase slightly — by about 2%, compared to 2022 — to $58.5 billion.
According to Heletii, the improvement of the capacity of the Ukrainian infrastructure and the opening of the “grain corridor”, of course, contribute to the increase of exports, but this does not compensate for the loss of traditional export routes through sea ports.
“At the end of September, the “grain corridor” reached its maximum capacity, and we expect it to be fully loaded by the end of the year. We expect that export revenues will be stable by the end of the year, at the level of September,” said the deputy head of the NBU.
As a reminder, within the framework of the Istanbul Agreements, Ukraine has already exported 8 million tons of agricultural products. A total of 362 ships with food for the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa left Ukrainian ports.
Meanwhile, russian federation is manipulating розірванням «зернової угоди» the termination of the “grain agreement” due to the UN investigation into Iranian kamikaze drones. Such a statement was made by the First Deputy Permanent Representative of russia to the UN Dmitriy Polyanskyi.
