Three border guards from Zmiinyi Island were returned from captivity

50 Ukrainian soldiers returned from ussian captivity on November 24. 6 of them are border guards.

Among the released border guards, three are border guards from Zmiinyi (Snake) Island, reports the Izmail border detachment.

In total, this time it was possible to free 7 defenders of Zmiinyi from captivity, said Andriy Yermak, the head of the President’s Office.

After the occupation of Zmiinyi Island, more than 70 people, including both military and civilians, were captured by the russians. In particular, in March, it was possible to return 19 Ukrainian civilian sailors from the rescue vessel “Sapphir”, who arrived on the island on a humanitarian mission, when the occupiers captured them.
