Lithuania: Belarus’s idea to export Ukrainian grain is a trap

The President of Lithuania considers Belarus’ offer to export Ukrainian grain a trap and an attempt to avoid sanctions.

Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Yuriy Ambrazevych, informed the UN that Belarus, without preconditions, agrees to the transit of Ukrainian grain through its territory for its export from Lithuanian ports.

Now the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda opposed this proposal and called it a trap.

“Belarus’ proposal to transport Ukrainian grain through its territory to Lithuania is another attempt to avoid sanctions. Ukrainian grain is already being transported through Poland and other countries to the Baltic ports,” Nauseda wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, USM reported that Odesa port suspended shipments due to russian attacks.
