State Hydrographic Service is preparing a lawsuit against russia

The State Institution “State Hydrographical Service” plans to receive compensation from russia for the damages caused during the occupation of Crimea and other territories of Ukraine.

As a result of russian federation’s occupation of the Crimean Peninsula, State Hydrographic Service lost property complexes, high-value equipment and devices, as well as all watercraft of the “Kerch district of State Hydrographic Service” and “Sevastopol branch of State Hydrographic Service named after L.I. Mitin”.

“After the aggressor’s full-scale invasion to Ukraine, the movable and immovable property of our institution in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions was seized, and a significant part of it was looted or destroyed by russian barbarians on the Zmiiny island,” – reported on the State Hydrographic Service Facebook page.

A special working group has already been created, which will monitor the legislation of the EU, the USA, Canada and other countries, in particular, to receive compensation at the expense of russian assets located on the territory of the EU and other countries.

They also started work on assessing damages and preparing a lawsuit against russian federation, which is planned to be filed in 2023.
