Kazakhstan plans to supply Germany with 1.2 million tons of oil through the Druzhba pipeline in 2023.

As early as January 2023, Kazakhstan plans to pump 20,000 tons of oil from the Karachaganak field to Germany via Druzhba, Reuters writes.

It is expected that German refineries will be able to obtain 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil this way in a year.

At the same time, the sea export of Kazakh oil, which is delivered by the Atyrau-Samara pipeline to the ports of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea and Novorossiysk (Black Sea), will decrease from 1 million tons to 0.9 million tons in January.

During 2023, the volume of exports of Kazakh oil through “Druzhba” may reach 1.2 million tons. At the same time, it is technically possible to pump 5 million tons.
