Ukrainian elevators will be able to buy generators with World Bank money
In 2023, the World Bank will provide $50 million for generators or boilers for Ukrainian elevators.
“A sum of $50 million will be spent on a program under which all elevators will be able to buy new generators for up to UAH 5 million, or switch to liquefied gas boilers,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi during a press briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
Under this program, the cost of the generator or boiler will be partially compensated.
The World Bank has also allocated $100 million for the purchase of wheat and corn for the countries of Asia and Africa in 2023. However, according to the minister, these funds will most likely be redirected to another program, since humanitarian grain is actively purchased within the framework of Grain from Ukraine.
