Exports through the “grain corridor” decreased by 20%


During the past week, from January 9 to 15, the export of agricultural products through the “grain corridor” decreased by 20%.

During the 24th week of the grain initiative, 491,000 tons of agricultural products were exported from the sea ports of Odesa — this is 20% less than a week earlier.

Thus, from January 9 to 15, 19 ships were loaded in Ukrainian seaports — three units more than a week before.

The most exported during the past week were corn (43% of exports during this period), wheat (20%) and sunflower cake (12%)

The products were sent to the countries of Asia (China, Turkey, Afghanistan), Europe (Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal) and Africa (Libya, Tunisia, Morocco).

According to the data of UKAB, from January 9 to 15, the volume of exports through sea ports was 2.4 times smaller, compared to the maximum weekly indicator.

In general, during the operation of the “grain corridor”, from August 1, 2022 to January 15, 2023, Ukraine exported 17.4 million tons of agricultural products.
