110,000 tons of grain were exported as part of Grain from Ukraine

As part of the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine, which provides for the supply of food to the countries that need it most, 110,000 tons of grain have already been exported.

“Within Grain from Ukraine, four ships with a total cargo of 110,000 tons of grain have already left Ukrainian ports,” said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi, Ukrinform reports.

Solsky added that the grain was sent to Ethiopia and Somalia. He also noted that a ship is on its way to Ukraine, which will be loaded with grain for Kenya. As part of the initiative, it is planned to supply grain to Yemen, Sudan and other countries.

The Ministry of Agricultural Policy reminded that the implementation of Grain from Ukraine depends on the stable operation of the grain corridor, however, the Russian side is obstructing the work by deliberately delaying the inspections of vessels, which causes significant queues in the Bosphorus.

In general, within the framework of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative, our state plans to send more than 60 ships to Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Congo, Kenya, Yemen, etc. by the middle of 2023.
