We deprived russia of dominance in the Black Sea, – Reznikov

Thanks to the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region and the availability of anti-ship weapons in Ukraine, russia has no chance of capturing Odesa and the region in general.

The main threat to Odesa — the russian cruiser “Moskva” — went to the bottom after the successful use of Ukrainian cruise missiles “Neptun”.

Currently, russia is hindered, in particular, by the presence of Harpoon anti-ship systems in Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said during a press conference in Odesa, Army Inform reports.

“I really don’t like to give forecasts and evaluative judgments, but in order for there to be a risk of capturing Odesa and the region in general, russia must have dominion over the Black Sea. But we deprived them of this opportunity. Including after the successful use of our Ukrainian “Neptunes”, when the cruiser “Moskva” went to the bottom at a known address. Plus, the Harpoon anti-ship complexes are in service, so I don’t see any chance of approaching Odesa from the sea,” the minister commented.

According to him, it was not possible to approach the occupiers by land last time, and currently the Armed Forces pushed the russians back to the left bank of the Dnieper, which in itself, with destroyed bridges and crossings, is a powerful natural protective barrier.

In the left-bank territories of southern Ukraine, the enemy group has the opportunity to replenish with weapons, equipment, and personnel, so the situation there is more tense, Reznikov summarized.
