In Ukraine a russian fake about “radiological material” in the ports of Odesa was denied

Russian ministry of Foreign Affairs disseminated information that radioactive materials for provocations were allegedly delivered to the ports of the Odesa region.

Russian federation’s claim that Ukraine received radiological material for “provocation” is fake news. Ukraine strictly adheres to the principle of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.

“Don’t be fooled by the russian propaganda textbook. Russians often accuse others of what they are planning,” Nikolenko wrote.

On the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of russian federation, a statement was posted that on February 16, containers with radioactive substances and English-language labeling were delivered to the port of Chornomorsk to bypass customs inspection from the territory of one of the European states.

“So, on February 19, similar containers containing the radioactive substance “Californium-252″ were delivered to the port of Odesa on one of the dry cargoes, which, as reported, is actively used during the inspection of the integrity of the nuclear reactors of the NPP. During her reception at the port, the radioactive monitoring system was turned off,” says Maria Zakharova’s comment published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of russian federation.
