The demand for Ukrainian export corn has disappeared in the ports of Odesa

The “grain corridor” expires in March. Because of this, there are no buyers of Ukrainian corn in the ports of Great Odesa.
Due to the approaching end of the “grain corridor”, potential buyers do not want to take additional risks on FOB terms. The new corn crop is trading at $250-$255 FOB equivalent with November-December shipment, commercial agent Spike Brokers reported on Telegram.
“All the liquidity of sellers and buyers is focused on terms of delivery to the buyer CIF by sea or DAP by cars. Prices continued to decrease against the background of the approaching harvest from South America and good prospects for corn planting in the USA,” the report said.
Wheat prices in some areas fell to $10. The prices of the new crop with shipment July-August are announced by buyers with a discount of up to 20 dollars per ton, relative to the price of wheat of the old crop of 2022.
At the same time, export sunflower prices continue to fall in the main sales markets in Eastern Europe. In the last two weeks alone, the price of sunflower has fallen to almost $60 per ton in some destinations. Sunflower residues in Ukraine amount to about 8 million tons.
