Russian federation is forced to postpone the launch of marine terminals

The launch of new sea terminals in the ports of russia has to be postponed due to a shortage of equipment.

The completion of the construction of some new terminals in russian seaports, which were planned to open in 2024, has been postponed for a year or two, writes Business Censor.

According to Andriy Boldorev, head of investment and strategic development of FSUE “Rosmorport”, among other projects whose completion date may be postponed, there is also the “Ultramar” fertilizer transshipment terminal in Ust-Luz.

“Novotrans’ projects in Ust-Luz may be shifted, according to the grain terminal project in Novorossiysk, Vaninotransvugilya (VTU) will be shifted, and a number of other projects are in question,” Boldorev said.

These projects should be put into operation formally in 2024, however, regarding a number of them, they are already announcing the possible postponement of these terms until 2025.

Problems with the supply of foreign equipment were the main reason for the disruption of the terms of putting the terminals into operation.
