Searches were conducted at the “Pivdennyi” customs post

The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB) found components for the production of fake perfumery at the customs post of the “South” port – worth 1.2 million UAH.

Detectives of the Territorial Administration of the State Security Bureau in Odesa Region conducted a search of the “Pivdennyi Port” customs post. The law enforcement officers found almost 140,000 bottles for bottling perfumes – worth more than UAH 1.2 million. The search took place as part of an investigation into the organization of a large-scale counterfeit perfumery, according to the BEB website.

It was established that the components were delivered to Ukraine from Poland. The recipient of the goods is an enterprise owned by the owner of a business that manufactures counterfeit perfume products.

In general, as part of the investigation, detectives have already seized counterfeit goods and equipment worth UAH 70 million.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the detectives of the Territorial Department of the Security Intelligence Service in the Odesa Region under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the operational support of the DSR of the National Police in the Odesa Region.
