Japan banned the export of dual purpose goods to russia

Japan is suspending the export of many dual-use goods to russian federation — a few days after russian ships fired supersonic missiles toward the Sea of Japan.

Japan stops supplying ship engines, electronic and construction equipment, parts for airplanes and drones to russian federation. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

The ban also applies to shipments of steel and aluminum, steam boilers, generators, vehicles, optical fiber, etc.

The statement about the embargo on trade with a terrorist country arose against the background of the “tests” of russian federation in the Sea of Japan. So, a few days before the export ban, russia launched supersonic anti-ship missiles into the Sea of Japan. The restrictive measures come into effect on April 7.
