A boat with Russian tourists crashed into a rock in Thailand: one person died
In Thailand, a boat with Russian tourists crashed into the rocks. She died in an accident.
A citizen of the Russian Federation died, and six more Russians were injured of varying degrees of severity when a tourist boat collided with rocks in the area of Maiton Island in the province of Phuket, Thailand, rosZMI reports.
According to the Consul General of Russia in Phuket, Volodymyr Sosnov, the boat with tourists collided with the rocks in the afternoon of December 31, around 3:00 p.m. local time (11:00 a.m. Kyiv time). The injured were hospitalized. Sosnov noted that minors are among the victims.
According to the Thai newspaper Khao Phuket, a child from the Russian Federation died during the boat accident. The Russian consul confirmed this information.
In total, according to local media reports, nine people were injured, including two crew members.
