A company that illegally exported grain was exposed in the port of Chornomorsk
BEB exposed a soybean exporting company that tried to evade taxes by UAH 15 million.
This was reported by the Bureau of Economic Security.
During the investigation, it was established that the agricultural company submitted a customs declaration for the export of 5.5 thousand tons of soybeans of unknown origin. The export of the products was supposed to take place on the basis of a commission agreement.
“A company that provided services only to ensure export was included in the chain. While all material and financial obligations were placed on the principal – the actual owner of the legumes. BEB specialists sent a letter to the Odessa customs with the identified violations. As a result, the exporter was denied customs clearance,” the report says.
At the same time, despite the customs refusal, a ship arrived at the port, on which soybeans were loaded at night. However, the attempt to illegally send the goods was prevented, and the ship was remoored to another berth in the Black Sea port.
In particular, it became known that the principal company did not reflect in the tax reporting of the enterprise its income and financial result, namely the value of products declared for export, the origin of which was not confirmed by primary documents.
“Thus, the enterprise did not pay UAH 15.2 million in profit tax to the budget. Subsequently, a sanctioned inspection was conducted, and soybeans of unknown origin were seized,” the report says.
It should be noted that later the agricultural company fully reimbursed the losses caused to the budget. Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
As previously reported by USM, the BEB reported on the fight against “black” exports from the ports of Ukraine.
