A cruise liner in Scotland is completing a program for Ukrainian immigrants

Almost 2,000 Ukrainian migrants were received on two cruise ships in Scotland.

Since the beginning of January 2023, a trend towards a decrease in the number of forced migrants from Ukraine has been recorded in Scotland. In particular, we are talking about reducing the number of occupied cabins on cruise liners. The figures were released by the Department of Living Standards, Housing and Communities (DLUHC).

As of mid-March, 1,490 Ukrainians were on board the cruise ships MS Ambition and MS Victoria.

The number of displaced people who came ashore from MS Ambition and MS Victoria since their launch (September 14 and July 26, 2022 respectively) is about 1,135 and 820 people.

It should be noted that MS Ambition was chartered on a short-term basis, the contract is due to expire on March 31. In turn, the cruise liner MS Victoria will continue to receive Ukrainians until June 2023.
