A grain terminal with a capacity of 5 million tons will be launched at the port of Pivdennyi next year

Epicenter Agro is building a grain transshipment terminal with a capacity of 5 million tons in the port of Pivdenny. It is planned to launch it in 2026.
This is indicated in the project of the facility, writes Latifundist.com.
The estimated cargo turnover of the future terminal is 5 million tons per year, and the total capacity of silo warehouses is 250 thousand tons.
The CEO of Epicenter K, Petro Mykhailyshyn, first announced the future terminal in November 2024. In April, this information was confirmed by the head of the group’s agricultural direction, Svitlana Nikityuk.
Already this year, Casablanca Shipping Limited LLC, founded by Epicenter K LLC, acquired 32.61% in Promtekhinovation LLC. The remaining 16.48% of the shares of the legal entity belong to Igor Urbansky, and 25.46% of the shares belong to Kateryna and Denis Urbansky.
According to last year’s project, Promtekhinovtsiya leases land plots in the waters of the port of Pivdennyi and near the local highway T1606. The total area of the construction sites is about 32 hectares. This area is enough to build a station for unloading wagons and vehicles near the highway, after which the grain will be sent via a transport gallery to silos and a transshipment terminal.
For unloading wagons, it is planned to build its own railway station with a throughput capacity of up to 3 million tons per year, capable of handling up to five freight trains (50-70 wagons) per day. The land plot for it has an area of 10 hectares. The facility is planned to have a railcar unloading station with a capacity of 2,000 t/h and a truck unloading station with a capacity of 1,000 t/h.
The unloading station will be connected to the main elevators by a conveyor gallery 1,600 m long and with a capacity of 1,200 t/h. From it, grain will be delivered to silos: about 50 “cans” with a total capacity of 250,000 t are planned, located on a 10-hectare site.
The project involves the construction of a berth up to 350 m long and 16 m deep. Two tower cranes with a capacity of 1,500 t/h will be used to reload agricultural products. Equipment for unloading, transporting, storing and transshipment of grain will be owned by Promtekhinovation.
It should be noted that the launch of the terminal is scheduled for 2026.
