A hub for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products can be created in Oman
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine proposes to create a food hub in the Sultanate of Oman for the export of Ukrainian products to the markets of East African countries.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
On Wednesday, October 23, during a visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga held talks with the Minister of Economy of Oman Dr. Said bin Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Sakri.
Ukraine is interested in developing relations with Oman and the Gulf states in a number of areas, including trade, investments, food exports, and the development of renewable energy and technologies.
“The Omani side was offered to consider the possibility of creating a food hub for Ukrainian products and their further promotion to the markets of East African countries,” the message reads.
Andrii Sybiga emphasized that despite the war and Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure and civilian ships, Ukraine remains one of the guarantors of world food security.
We will remind, in 2023, Oman also offered Ukraine to create a grain hub on its territory.
Then the special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa stated that thanks to this, Ukraine can get access to one of the most modern logistics hubs, which functions, in fact, in the Indian Ocean.
