A new gas field was discovered in the Black Sea

Turkey discovered another gas field in the Black Sea.

The Turkish drilling vessel Fatih found new deposits of natural gas while drilling at the Chayjuma-1 field. According to estimates, the volume of natural gas in the new field is 58 billion cubic meters. Raw material reserves are at a depth of 3,023 meters, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

Thanks to the discovery of new deposits, Turkish gas reserves in the Black Sea increased by 170 billion cubic meters and reached 710 billion cubic meters.

“The equivalent of the natural gas we discovered in the Black Sea is worth $1 trillion in international markets according to today’s figures,” Erdogan said.

The discovery will make it possible to discover new deposits in the geological fields adjacent to the region.
