A new highway is being built from Ukraine to seaports in Romania

Romania is actively building a new highway from the Ukrainian border to the seaports.

This transport corridor will help to increase the export of Ukrainian agricultural products and make them more competitive on world markets, noted First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.

“First of all, this is an opportunity to reduce the cost of logistics, the delivery of Ukrainian agricultural products to countries around the world. Because it will be possible to travel through Romania faster, with shorter queues, and with less waiting to seaports from the point of view of export by sea, and to other European countries,” said Vysotskyi.

The official said that currently 1/5 of Ukrainian agricultural exports go through Romania, but there were months when this figure was 70%.

Previously, USM reported that the monthly export of Ukrainian goods through Romania increased from 2 million tons to 3 million tons.
