A new port operator will appear in the Reni port
A new company – “Fram Shipping” LLC – intends to start its activities on the territory of the Reni seaport.
The company plans to work in the water area and at the moorings of the Reni branch of the Ukrainian Seaports Authority (USPA) and the state-owned enterprise “Reni Sea Trade Port”. As Yug Today notes with reference to the Executive Committee of the Reni City Council, the company will operate berths #17, #18, #34, #35, #36 and #37.
The technological process that will be used by the company involves transshipment of bulk cargoes in a direct way, i.e. from vehicles to ships using a belt conveyor (without storage of cargoes in port warehouses).
The company is focused on the supply of loose export cargoes, and plans to hire about 70 workers in the maritime industry.
In general, “Fram Shipping” plans to process 2 million tons of cargo per year. In particular, the main cargoes will be grain, oil crops and products of their processing.
Currently, the company is undergoing the procedure for assessing its business activities on the environment and the sanitary-epidemic safety of the local population as required by law.
