A new USPA boat will be launched on the Danube

The new boat “Pilot Cheberyakov”, built in Turkey, has joined the fleet of Danube ports.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
This is the second boat built at the Izmir Shipyard in Turkey, and the third financed by American partners.
“The launch of a new pilot boat is another important step in strengthening our fleet and supporting the effective operation of ports,” said Oleksandr Semyrha, head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
According to him, updating the fleet is critically important for the stable operation of ports, for shipping safety, and for the country’s economy.
The name of the boat — “Pilot Cheberyakov” — is given in honor of Serhiy Cheberyakov, an experienced marine pilot who devoted more than 18 years to piloting and trained more than one generation of specialists. Serhiy Cheberyakov died in 2023, trying to escape from the occupied territory of the Kherson region.
Let us remind you that in early December, a flag-raising ceremony was held in the Danube region on the new pilot boat “Bolotin”.
