A Russian Black Sea Fleet ship is on fire in Sevastopol: probably Project 1124 M “Albatross M”

A fire broke out on one of the small anti-submarine ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in occupied Sevastopol.
On the morning of November 2, a ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet caught fire in the Sukharnaya Bay of Sevastopol. This was reported by analysts of the Crimean Wind.
The ship could not be immediately identified due to the camouflage nets on the superstructure. Later, its type was established – a small anti-submarine ship of the project 1124 M (according to NATO classification – “Grisha V / Albatros M”).
As is known, the Black Sea Fleet has four such ships built in the period 1982-1989: “Muromets”, “Suzdalets”, “Kasimov” and “Yeisk”. Two of them were withdrawn to the Novorossiysk base in 2024, and two more remain in Sevastopol.
Occupation sources have not yet provided official comments on the causes of the fire, its scale or the degree of damage. It has not been confirmed whether this is the result of an attack, a technical malfunction or another reason.
If it is confirmed that this particular ship was damaged, the incident could further complicate the Russian Federation’s maritime logistics and anti-submarine defense in the Black Sea – after all, the project 1124 M is specifically designed to search for and destroy underwater threats in coastal areas.
As a reminder, the day before, the Crimean partisans of the “ATESH” scouted the positions of the Russian special forces guarding the Kerch Bridge.
