Military sailors conducted a controlled detonation of a dangerous munition and call on citizens to be vigilant.

On one of the beaches of the Odesa region, military personnel discovered a sea mine that had been washed ashore by a storm. This was reported by the press service of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The dangerous object was transported to a safe place and eliminated by controlled detonation.

The military emphasize that the Black Sea coast continues to be potentially dangerous due to mines that can be washed ashore.

Citizens are urged not to approach suspicious objects, immediately report any finds to representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service or the police, refrain from walking on unsurveyed areas of the coast, especially after storms, and not to try to move or neutralize dangerous objects on their own.
