A ship of the Russian Navy was spotted near Georgia: Russia is building a base there

A military ship was spotted near the coast of occupied Abkhazia. Russia plans to create a base for its fleet there.

An auxiliary ship of the Russian Navy has docked in the port of Ochamchire, Krym.Realia reports.

The port is located on the territory occupied by Russia. Despite Georgia’s objections, the Russian Federation plans to establish a permanent naval base there.

Project 22870 ship was observed in the port on July 4 and 5. On June 28, he “disappeared” from the home port of Novorossiysk.

Pro-Russian separatists in occupied Abkhazia announced last year in October that they had signed an agreement to create a base for Russian warships in Ochamchire.

USM previously reported that on the territory of Georgia occupied by the Russians a military port was almost finished, in the Abkhaz city of Ochamchire.
