A ship with a Russian explosive cargo entered a port in Norway

A ship with a cargo of Russian ammonium nitrate arrived at the port in Norway. The Norwegian Navy accompanied the ship, despite the risk of a possible terrorist attack.

The ship Ruby with 20,000 tons of ammonium nitrate from Russia entered the largest port in the north of Norway, OSINT researcher Markus Jonsson reported on the social network X.

According to an official report, the vessel called into port due to storm damage. However, for some reason, the dry cargo was able to reach the port on its own.

The police conducted a brief investigation and concluded that the Ruby had to leave port after all. The vessel is being prepared for towing.

It is also noted that a frigate of the Norwegian Navy stopped near a ship with Russian cargo, but did not show due seriousness regarding the threat.

Ammonium nitrate is explosive. We will remind you that on August 4, 2020, two explosions occurred in the port of Beirut with a difference of 33 seconds. During the second, more powerful one, 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate exploded in the warehouse – it was confiscated from the ship Rhosus in 2013, and since then the dangerous cargo has been stored in the port area. The source of the fire was never determined, it is assumed that it occurred during welding works near the warehouse.

An explosion at the port of Beirut destroyed and damaged buildings throughout the city. Almost 200 people died, 6 thousand were injured, another 300 thousand were left homeless. Some victims were thrown into the sea by the force of the explosion. Among the dead are the leader of the Lebanese Christian party “Kataib” Nazar Najarian and the wife of the ambassador of the Netherlands.
