A tanker carrying Russian oil blocked the Dardanelles Strait

A tanker of the so-called “shadow fleet”, which was transporting Russian oil, blocked the movement of ships through the Dardanelles Strait.

When the ship was passing through the Turkish strait, its engine failed. This caused a temporary traffic jam in the Dardanelles, according to Bloomberg.

The tanker Hera 1 got stuck in the strait in the morning in northwestern Turkey. As a result of the accident, the movement of ships was stopped for three hours.

At 10 a.m. local time, navigation through the strait was resumed. The tanker was put on the anchorage.
