A Ukrainian was detained in Poland, who was spying on ports for the benefit of Russia
A Ukrainian citizen was detained in Poland, who had been monitoring Polish ports and military facilities for the benefit of Russia for several years.
The suspect was spying on seaports and military facilities in Poland, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said.
“The Internal Security Agency detained another member of the spy network that worked for Russian intelligence. The suspect was monitoring military facilities and seaports. He was systematically rewarded by the Russians. This is already the 15th person detained as part of this investigation. We are effectively protecting Poland,” the minister wrote on Twitter.
The prosecutor’s office informed the Polish mass media that the detainee is a citizen of Ukraine. He was in Poland since 2019. The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
