The yacht with the russians disappeared in the Red Sea. The captain’s wife believes that the ship was stolen.

A yacht with three russian citizens disappeared in the Red Sea after leaving the Saudi port of Jizan, reports rosZMI with reference to the Russian embassy in Saudi Arabia.

The pleasure boat “30 minutes” (“30 minutes”) went to sea on April 17 and went to Djibouti in East Africa. On the same day, the yacht anchored near Roumain Island and disappeared from radar, russian diplomats found out from the owner of the vessel.

There is currently no communication with the crew, AIS on the vessel is disabled. According to diplomats, russian citizens Roman Kokashinsky, Daniil Vasiliev and Maria Shevtsova were on the yacht.

Nadezhda Rasina, the wife of the ship’s captain, told one of rosZMI that the crew planned to arrive in Djibouti on April 19. The ship disappeared in the area between Saudi Arabia, Eritrea and Yemen. The search began already on April 20.

According to Rasina, information was received that the ship was stolen, but there is no detailed information at the moment.

The russian Embassy in Saudi Arabia noted that neither russian diplomats nor the Saudi authorities found any evidence that the ship was captured by pirates.
