The main suppliers of the new batch of grain will be Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
The Algerian state agency OAIC (Office Algérien Interprofessionnel des Céréales) purchased from 360 to 400 thousand tons of food wheat at an international tender. This is reported by APK-Inform.
It is expected that Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine will become the main suppliers. The purchase took place at a price of $262-263 per ton on CIF terms.
Part of the tonnage sold by one of the companies remains unknown, which causes some uncertainty among traders regarding the final volume of the contract.
The importer’s initial expectations were to purchase 550-600 thousand tons of grain, but according to the results of the tender, these volumes turned out to be smaller.
Also, the day before, USM reported that the volume of grain trade between Ukraine and EU countries had reached a record.
