Almost 1 million tons of oilseeds were processed at Kernel in the second quarter of the fiscal year

The main share of processing was provided by sunflower – about 85% of the total volume.

This is stated in the company’s operating report, writes Elevatorist.

In the second quarter of the 2026 fiscal year (October-December 2025), Kernel processed 995 thousand tons of oilseeds. This is 78% more than in the previous quarter, and in annual terms the growth is 2%.

The main share of processing was provided by sunflower – about 85% of the total volume. The remaining raw materials were soybeans, which the company used to partially compensate for the shortage of sunflower in the domestic market.

“Sales of vegetable oil in the second quarter of the fiscal year amounted to 411 thousand tons, which corresponds to the level of last year and is 30% higher than in the previous quarter. Of this volume, 17 thousand tons were bottled sunflower oil,” the report says.

In total, Kernel processed 1.6 million tons of oilseeds in the first half of fiscal year 2026 (July-December 2025), which is 6% less year-on-year.

The company explained the decrease by a decrease in processing volumes within tolling contracts compared to the same period last year.

USM previously reported that Kernel lost 500 tons of oil due to Russian shelling.
