Almost half of the UDS fleet was equipped with video surveillance

From 8 to 15 video cameras were installed on the ships, which provide a 360-degree view.

Currently, 12 vessels of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company are equipped with modern cameras. Video surveillance works in any weather conditions, as well as at night, Bessarabia. UA. reported.

Starlink is responsible for transmitting the signal from the ship to the central server. Even if there is no technical possibility to transmit the signal, the information is accumulated and transmitted when the connection is restored.

Previously, communication with the team was ensured by radiograms. Now the dispatcher in the central office has the opportunity to monitor the vessel online.

The very fact of the appearance of cameras removes 90% of the problem of unaccounted operations, thefts, failure to fulfill flight tasks without objective reasons.

“Now we can also see almost everything, including controlling the engine room. With the exception of residential premises,” said Ruslan Svitlytskyi, Deputy General Director of the UDS for Operation.

As previously reported by USM, at the end of March, UDS launched another SLG-class barge. Currently, the company is ready to build up to 10 barges per year with the possibility of increasing volumes by 20%.
