AMCU allowed Bunge to acquire Vinnytsia OZHK from ViOil


The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted permission to Koninklijke Bunge B.V. to acquire control over ELTORNE LIMITED by purchasing shares in the company.

Earlier, Bunge submitted a request to the Antimonopoly Committee for permission to purchase the Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant from ViOil.

This concerns the granting of permission to Koninklijke Bunge B.V. (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) to acquire control over ELTORNE LIMITED (Paphos, Cyprus) by purchasing shares in ELTORNE LIMITED, which ensures an excess of 50% of the votes in the company’s supreme management body.

ELTORNE LIMITED is owned by Viktor Ponomarchuk, who is also the ultimate beneficiary of Vinnytsia Oil and Fat Plant and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ViOil.

On the morning of October 3, the Antimonopoly Committee granted permission to Koninklijke Bunge B.V. to acquire control over ELTORNE LIMITED.

Vinnytsia OZHK processes sunflower, rapeseed and soybeans, produces unrefined oils and meals, with a daily capacity of 80 tons of refined deodorized oil and 50 tons of packaged products.

In fiscal year 2023, Kernel sold its stake in ViOil, a 5.85% stake it had owned since 2019.
