An official of Ukrtransbezpeka took bribes from grain traders

The State Bureau of Investigation exposed an official of State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety who “earned” from extortions from grain traders. In particular, products were transported to the ports of Odesa region.
An official of State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety was passing trucks with grain that did not meet the dimensions and weight standards, reports the SBI.
He put on the stream of earnings at the weighing complexes of State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety at all major transport intersections of Odesa region.
“He took a thousand UAH from the carriers for the unhindered passage of a truck with an exceeded permissible weight. In addition, money was paid by almost all grain traders who transported products to the ports of Odesa,” the report says.
Every month, a traffic control employee “earned” at least a million hryvnias in this way.
The official was arrested “red handed”. Currently, the full circle of State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety officials involved in the embezzlement is being established.
