Anti-mine nets and buoys: how the Black Sea coast is arranged

Divers also check the bottom of the Black Sea near the coast.

The beaches at the 13-14 fountain in Odesa began to be equipped for safe recreation, Channel 7 writes.

Divers are currently checking the bottom near the shore. This year, for the first time, a double border is introduced in the water. The first line of buoys is located at a depth of 1.70 m.

At the same time, a large fishing net was installed in the area of the breakwater, which should contain the mines.

According to the mass media, it is forbidden to be on the coastal areas:

• during “Air Alarm” or “Storm Warning” signals. Or if there are instructions from the rescuer about the prohibition (in particular, if there is a red flag at the post);

• in the presence of mines, shells, etc. in the water or on the coast;

• from 21:00 to 07:00 daily;

• on coastal protection structures in the form of bunkers, traverses, breakwaters;

• in the water area of the Black Sea outside the designated swimming areas (marked by buoys).

As previously reported by USM, as of May 23, 2023, there are more than 400 mines in the sea waters of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, more than 20 units have been destroyed.
