ARMA appealed to NABU due to possible abuses in the sale of Medvedchuk’s yacht

ARMA has filed a complaint with NABU regarding possible abuse of office in the case of the sale of Viktor Medvedchuk’s yacht.

The National Agency for Tracing and Asset Management has officially appealed to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, АRМА reported.

The complaint concerns a possible artificial delay in the process of legalizing the decision of a Ukrainian court abroad in the case of the sale of the superyacht Royal Romance – one of the most high-profile assets transferred for sale to ARMA by court decision.

Royal Romance belonged to former politician and traitor to Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, the asset was seized and transferred to the management of ARMA with the aim of further sale through an open tender.

However, the process of legalizing the court decision necessary for the sale of the asset has not yet begun. ARMA has repeatedly emphasized the importance of promptly completing all legal procedures necessary for the sale of the asset and replenishing the state budget of Ukraine. Currently, the agency sees the risks of artificially delaying this process, which harms both state interests and the public demand for justice.

In view of this, ARMA filed an application with NABU. As noted by the head of the National Agency, Olena Duma: “At least 130 million euros should go to the state budget from the sale of the yacht. This did not happen for some reasons and reasons, and we do not understand what. That is why we turned to the law enforcement agency to figure it out.”

Earlier, USM reported that the High Anti-corruption Court of Justice allowed ARMA to appeal the ban on the sale of Medvedchuk’s assets in the Supreme Court.
