ARMA has moved on to preparing the sale of Medvedchuk’s yacht

The National Agency for Tracing and Asset Management (ARMA) has moved to the stage of practical preparation for the sale of the Royal Romance asset.
This was reported by ARMA.
Today, one of the key cases in the work on the management of seized assets is the sale of the Royal Romance yacht, as well as other assets related to Viktor Medvedchuk, accused of treason. In 2021, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against him, which include the blocking of assets, the seizure of property, etc.
Currently, based on the results of international cooperation, ARMA has moved to the stage of practical preparation for the sale of the Royal Romance asset.
The yacht, which is under the jurisdiction of Croatia, was transferred to the ARMA administration for its further sale based on the ruling of the investigating judge.
An important procedural stage was the completion of the pre-trial investigation – the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine sent an indictment to the court, and the proceedings entered the stage of trial. The relevant materials were transferred to the Croatian side within the framework of international legal assistance.
In parallel, preparations are underway to assess the asset, determine the sales model and ensure a transparent implementation procedure through public mechanisms.
Thus, the Royal Romance case is at the stage of practical implementation of a clear roadmap – from recognition of the Ukrainian court’s decision to the sale of the asset and transfer of funds to state accounts with their subsequent distribution between jurisdictions.
ARMA noted that the case is accompanied by increased procedural resistance from the party associated with Viktor Medvedchuk. This includes, in particular, attempts to delay procedures and use all possible legal instruments to block the progress of the case.
In parallel, ARMA continues to work on other complex assets. In particular, in the case of the Amore Mio yacht, associated with Viktor Medvedchuk’s entourage, the key challenge was to establish the location of the asset.
To this end, the Agency has engaged a wide network of international partners, including Interpol, Europol, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), as well as competent authorities of a number of states. As a result of this work, the asset was entered into the international Interpol Stolen Vessels database, which provides the possibility of global monitoring of its movement.
Earlier, USM reported that the ex-head of ARMA told how the Defense Intelligence prevented an attempt to hijack Medvedchuk’s yacht.
