At the beginning of the year, Ukraine attacked Russian ports at least three times

In January 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out at least 26 UAV attacks, including on Russian ports.

This was reported by the BlackSeaNews monitoring group and the “Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies”.

In January 2025, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out at least 26 UAV attacks on ports, oil, gas, chemical enterprises, pipeline systems located on the coast of the Black, Azov, Baltic Seas, on the TOT of the AR of Crimea and on the territory of the Russian Federation.

In particular, at least three attacks were carried out on port facilities, and Russian oil refineries and oil depots were subjected to at least 26 attacks.

Thus, on January 4, the Novatrans LLC oil terminal and the Ust-Luga seaport were attacked.

Journalists note that according to the Ukrainian version, four gas condensate tanks were damaged as a result of the attack (one severely, three more were cut by fragments from the explosion), while the Russian version claims that buildings were damaged.

Also on January 18, Ukrainian forces attacked the St. Petersburg oil terminal and the port of St. Petersburg.

The next attack took place on January 21 and was directed at PJSC Novatek, a gas storage facility in the port terminal, as well as the port of Ust-Luga. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, and all technological operations were stopped at the Ust-Luga gas condensate processing plant.

“At the time of the explosion, according to some information, three large tankers were near the berths, which arrived in Ust-Luga from Belgium, Oman and Libya,” the material says.

Recall that after the attacks, the Russian port of Ust-Luga stopped working.
