“Avdiivka”: SBU showed the new improved marine drone SeaBaby

The Security Service of Ukraine demonstrated the testing of the first “Sea Baby” drone from those donated by Ukrainians.

“The marine drone was produced thanks to a large-scale volunteer gathering organized by the United24 fundraising platform together with Monobank and Oleg Gorohovsky, as well as volunteers Sergey Sternenko and Igor Lachenkov,” the SBU commented.

Thus, thanks to Ukrainian business, international donors and Ukrainians, almost 300 million hryvnias were collected for 35 maritime drones of the Security Service of Ukraine “Sea Baby” in record time.

“The first sample in this batch was named “Avdiivka”. It differs from the previous generation, including in appearance. “Sea baby” of the 2024 release is a new generation drone that is improved and even more deadly for the enemy,” the SBU notes.

Like every model of marine drones, “Avdiivka” will undergo a full cycle of sea trials. In the process, the SBU development team will adapt the latest airborne weapons, specially designed and manufactured for use on multi-purpose platforms, which are the “Sea Baby”.

“The new SeaBaby 2024 has improved technical characteristics, greater combat and maneuverability. It is capable of delivering almost a ton of explosives over a thousand kilometers. The SBU conceived this drone as a universal platform on which various weapons will be placed,” said “Hunter”, brigadier general of the SBU.

We will remind that it was with the help of naval drones that the SBU blew up the Crimean bridge and hit a total of 11 Russian warships.
