Azerbaijan proposed new routes for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products

Azerbaijan has proposed to more actively use its logistics infrastructure for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Central Asia and the Middle East.
This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
The issue was discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliev.
The Azerbaijani side proposed to expand the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products through its territory both to the domestic market of the country and in transit to other states of the region.
Separately, the parties discussed the possibility of restoring logistics routes through the Black Sea. The Ukrainian side emphasized that the safety of civil shipping remains a key condition for stable maritime communication.
Ukraine and Azerbaijan also plan to work on increasing bilateral trade to the pre-war level of about $1 billion per year and attracting new investments in the agricultural sector.
The next meeting of the joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Azerbaijani commission on economic cooperation is planned to be held at the end of November.
Earlier, USM reported that shipping through the ports of Great Odesa has effectively stopped since July 22.
