Because of Ukrainian attacks, the Russians almost do not send ships to the Sea of Azov, – Pletenchuk
The Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces noted that the situation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas is currently stable — there is not a single Russian ship.
Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this, writes Ukrinform.
“As for Azov: we see that in fact the Russians have not used it for a long time. The countdown can be counted from the moment the Navy destroyed the railway ferry “Slavyanin”. After that, they fully understood that it is extremely dangerous to be in the waters of the Sea of Azov, even under the cover of civilian vessels, as they did. By the way, there are not many fairways there, and the recommended routes are also due to the fact that the Sea of Azov is not deep,” Pletenchuk noted.
According to him, recently only submarines have been observed in the Black Sea “as ships that ensure the security of the base point, i.e. protect it.”
“Therefore, we can say that the situation there is stable, as of today, there is not a single ship from the two water areas. But again, we always believe that danger may be present. It should not be forgotten that eight cruise missile carriers remain in the Black Sea Fleet. However, they are at the base point,” added the spokesman of the Armed Forces Navy.
Earlier it became known that Ukrainian partisans had scouted the port area of the Sea of Azov.
