Border guards rescue crew of burning vessel hit by Russian drone (video)

According to preliminary information, a large-scale fire broke out after a strike drone hit the stern of the vessel.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).
On the night of July 22, the servicemen of the SBGS Maritime Guard successfully conducted a search and rescue operation in the Black Sea, evacuating the crew of the Golden Rose bulk carrier, which was hit by a Russian drone.
The burning bulk carrier was detected using technical surveillance equipment, after which the State Border Guard boats of the State Border Guard Service immediately went to the scene.
The rescue operation took place in extremely difficult conditions – in the dark and with a constant threat of repeated attacks by Russian drones and missiles. Despite the danger, the boat crews were able to approach the side of the burning vessel and safely evacuate all sailors.
The State Border Guard Service’s Maritime Guard boats evacuated 16 crew members: two Syrian citizens and fourteen Egyptian citizens. All of the rescued were taken to shore, where they underwent a medical examination. None of the sailors suffered injuries or other damage.
Earlier, USM reported that Ukrainian border guards rescued a sailor who was at sea after a Russian attack.
