Borrell: the failure of the Grain Agreement weakens the political position of the Russian Federation
Putin’s refusal to extend the Grain Agreement significantly weakens Russia’s position in the international arena.
At the international level, Russia is becoming more and more isolated. The fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin refuses to extend the Grain Agreement weakens Russia’s position. This was stated by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, “European Truth” reports.
The countries of the world are beginning to understand that the food crisis was not created by European sanctions, but by the behavior of Russia, which does not allow the supply of Ukrainian grain, the politician emphasized.
The day before, Borrell confirmed that the “peace formula” proposed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, could be discussed at the UN General Assembly in September.
