Britain expanded sanctions against Russia: “shadow fleet” and banks under attack

The new list includes 100 objects, including 18 ships and the Deposit Insurance Agency of the Russian Federation.
London has announced a new package of sanctions against Russia, covering the military, energy and financial sectors of the aggressor state. This is reported by Reuters.
The restrictions include 18 ships, which, according to London, are part of the so-called Russian “shadow fleet”, which is used to illegally export oil to circumvent the embargo.
In addition, the sanctions include organizations involved in the supply of components for Russian weapons systems, financial institutions and propagandists.
This step coincided with similar actions by the EU, which announced sanctions against 200 ships from the “shadow fleet” and a number of instruments aimed at combating hybrid threats and human rights violations.
The day before, USM reported that the EU had approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia.
