British intelligence: the attack on the ferry crossing in Crimea complicated the logistics of the Russians
British intelligence analyzed Ukraine’s attack on a ferry crossing of Russians in the occupied Crimea near Kerch.
“The strike complicated the logistics of the Russians, in particular the military mission,” says the review of the British Ministry of Defense.
“These ferries were almost certainly the main way of rail transportation of Russian fuel and ammunition to Crimea,” the department noted.
The British Ministry of Defense suggests that Russia will almost certainly have to replace the railway ferry as soon as possible.
“This is likely to affect her wider logistics operations at sea, or she will have to risk lax security measures and use the rail bridge to transport fuel and explosive cargo. The Ukrainian attack on ferry crossings and the subsequent attack on a nearby oil depot once again highlights the vulnerability of the Kerch Strait, despite Russia’s significant investments in security measures and air defense,” the British Ministry of Defense emphasized.
It will be recalled that Ukrainian partisans showed how the Russian invaders were preparing to attack the Kerch (Crimean) bridge.
