Budapest court declares UDS property alienation agreement invalid

PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company” has protected the ownership of real estate in Budapest.

This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Thus, on December 19, 2025, the Metropolitan Court of Budapest declared the agreement on the alienation of this property invalid and ruled in favor of UDS.

This is the building of the UDS General Agency in Hungary, located in the central part of Budapest. The preservation of this asset is of great importance both for the company and for Ukraine.

UDP noted that one of the leading international law firms was involved in the legal process.

Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Andriy Kashuba added that

the update of the management system in UDS also played a role in this decision.

“After the creation of the Supervisory Board, the protection of this property became one of our priorities. This case demonstrates that the implementation of effective corporate governance is one of the key tools for protecting state property, increasing trust in enterprises and strengthening the economic stability of Ukraine,” added Andriy Kashuba.

Currently, the UDS continues its comprehensive work to protect its property rights and interests of Ukraine abroad.

As previously reported by USM, the case regarding the seizure of 32 UDS vessels has been referred to court.
