Cabinet proposes to ratify free trade agreement with Turkey

The government is also submitting a similar agreement for ratification, but with the United Arab Emirates.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Law “On Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey,” said Taras Melnychuk, the government’s representative in parliament.
The document proposes to ratify the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, which was concluded on 03.02.2022.
Melnychuk noted that the implementation of the Agreement:
• will contribute to the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the countries;
• will allow domestic producers to benefit from the liberalization of the goods and services markets of the Republic of Turkey;
• will open up opportunities for Ukrainian business both to expand sales markets and to develop and modernize their own production.
The government also submits for ratification the “Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Partnership between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United Arab Emirates”, signed on February 17, 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
“The implementation of the Agreement will contribute to the further development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates, will allow domestic manufacturers to benefit from the liberalization of the UAE’s goods and services markets, and will open up opportunities for Ukrainian business both to expand sales markets and to develop and modernize its own production,” the bill states.
