Cargo turnover of Russian ports increased by almost 12%

During January-April, cargo turnover of Russian seaports increased by almost 12%.

Cargo turnover of Russian seaports increased by 11.6% in January-April, compared to the same period last year, and amounted to more than 300 million tons. At least, this is what Rosmorrechflot claims.

The volume of transshipment of dry cargoes increased by 21% to 146.4 million tons, bulk cargoes by 4% to 154.1 million tons.

The cargo turnover of the sea ports of the Arctic Basin increased by 3.4% to 33 million tons. There, transshipment of dry cargo increased by 32.3% to 9.7 million tons, bulk cargo decreased by 5.2% to 23.3 million tons .

The volume of transshipment in the seaports of the Baltic basin increased by 8% and amounted to 87.7 million tons. Of these, transshipment of dry cargoes increased by 17.9% to 37.1 million tons, and bulk cargoes by 1.8% to 50.6 million tons.

In the Russian ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin, transshipment growth was the strongest: the total volume increased by 22% to 100.1 million tons. Processing of dry cargoes increased by 35.7% to 47.8 million tons, bulk cargoes by 11.7% to 52.3 million tons.

It is worth noting that Russia complains about the alleged impact of Western sanctions on its exports. In particular, the terrorist country is blocking the “grain initiative” to export Ukrainian grain by sea, hiding behind its own “problems” with product shipments.
